Why are we naturally inclined to trust people? Well, mostly.

Surely, I’m not alone in my attempts to reach an agent after pressing ‘0’ on the customer service line three, maybe eight, times. There’s just this wild sense of relief you experience once you hear a human voice on the other end. The same is true for customers who connect more with real insiders versus automated content or paid promoters.

Think about this: Who knows your company and can advocate for it better than the people who work for it?

Prioritizing Employee Advocacy is essential to crafting an authentic voice behind your brand. Of course, within our organizations we encourage diversity of thought, but having company wide alignment on core principles and strategic initiatives results in a more concise brand voice that personalizes brand messaging and puts thought leaders at the forefront to connect with important stakeholders.

Creating space for your people to promote their work and team successes showcases the talents of your workforce. More importantly, it enhances company culture through campaigns and increased engagement that empower leaders and their teams to be a part of furthering the company mission.

Lastly, these opportunities are critical in reinforcing the synergies of all departments and highlighting the interconnectivity of project objectives. It is vital that you not only create a standard for digital guidelines and compliance but show a united resolve through cohesive action. This will no doubt inspire greater confidence in the company while establishing credibility and gaining customer trust. The ultimate win.
